Job Description: Assist with marketing activities at Seattle Tilth to promote our programs, activities and events in the greater Seattle area. Duties include updating our online media, creating fliers, writing press releases and material for our Enews, print newsletter and other mass communications.
Work takes place at our office in Suite 100 of the Good Shepherd Center at 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103.
Marketing Intern Responsibilities:
-Maintain event postings on our website and update other web pages.
-Post our classes and events on other organizations’ community events calendars.
-Assist in writing press releases and mass communications.
-Write and compile material for our Enews and print newsletters.
-Create fliers and print materials.
-Post updates on Facebook and other social media.
-Communicate with media contacts.
-Organize files and photos.
-Assist with organization and execution of Seattle Tilth special events.
-Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required: -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent organization skills.
-Proficiency using email, the Internet and Microsoft applications.
-Graphic design skill with graphic design programs a plus.
-Ability to follow direction, be self-directed and also work well as a member of a team.
-Enthusiasm for the mission of Seattle Tilth.
-A strong interest in non-profit work and community service.
-Available weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and some Saturdays.
