Job Summary: The Garden Store/Statuary and Containers floor lead assists the Hard
Goods Manager in leading the departmental teams, to assure they provide outstanding Customer Service, offer friendly and informative educational information, and insightful inspiration. Their goal is to assure that each customer feels valued and appreciated by all of the staff through guidance, coaching and leading by example. A Molbak’s floor lead assures that the sales teams exceed expectations upon every Customer experience. He/She is a keyholder and must perform Mananger On Duty operations as required, which includes periodical supervision of the entire store. The Lawn and Garden/Statuary and Containers Floor Lead also acts as Manager in the absence of the Dept Manager. They must know and train all cash register functions to include cash handling, opening and closing (balancing) of registers, processing returns, selling gift
cards, and offering Molbak’s Rewards Program and other offers to every customer.
Also training and executing all paperwork and other processes, and regularly suggesting ideas for better overall efficiency, cleanliness and high organizational standards.

Molbak’s is looking for someone to work on a special plant-related project. The project is expected to be about 3-months in duration and start as soon as possible.  The project requires a very strong writer with significant plant knowledge (specific to the Northwest) and quick, accurate data entry skills.  

Project Parameters:
The project goal is to create 600 unique plant records over the next 3 months.
Wage is $12.50/hour and the goals have been established assuming a 40 hour work week (this equates to ten plant records in an 8 hour day on average). 
While this  is primarily a research and date entry project, the position also requires creative copywriting, clear communication, and resourcefulness.  This project involves intensive keyboard and computer work and specific knowledge including:  
    Key characteristics or selling points
    Size ranges for mature height and width
    Light and Water requirements
    Recommended uses
    Description, planting instructions, and monthly care.
    Recommended companion plants

Key Skills and Competencies:
- Deep and specific knowledge about all kinds of plants (nursery, annuals, perennials, edibles, houseplants, natives, etc.)
- Friendly, concise, accessible and upbeat written communication style.
- Solid computer skills - able to learn and navigate new systems easily.
- Strong research skills - very comfortable with Internet research
- Quick, accurate datea entry expertise.
- Common sense and the ability to manage one's own work flow.

Full time Landscaping Position at Private Golf Course
 
Position Description
The full-time Landscaping position assists the HeadHorticulturist in providing the Golf Course membership with professional looking flower beds, herb garden and seasonal displays. 
  
Compensation
$11-12 per hour
 
Schedule
Hours are 6 am until 2 pm in summer and 7 am until 3 pm in winter months
Overtime and some split shifts required during tournament scheduling
Work a rotating weekend schedule
 
Responsibilities
Meet with Head Horticulturist daily for updates and work assignments
Daily clean up of members parking lot and clubhouse area
Keep clubhouse and golf course flower beds weed free and professional looking 
Water and fertilize annuals, containers and hanging baskets 
Help water new trees planted in various places around golf course 
Shear and prune a small number of shrubs and privacy hedging
Help seed, water and harvest in restaurant herb garden and green house 
Mow clubhouse lawns

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
·  Assist customers with their purchases while providing Outstanding Customer Service

·  Suggest whole solutions, inform, educate and inspire, practice cross-selling and add-on selling. 
· Always practice open, honest, and direct communication and build positive team
relationships. Demonstrate integrity, ownership, accountability, and initiative.
· Correctly and efficiently use and practice proper protocol with all communication systems. (Registers, radios, telephones)
· Develop close customer relationships by thoroughly understanding customer needs and providing prompt resolution of customer service issues.
· Follow through and troubleshoot customer concerns and complaints accurately. Complete all required records and other related paperwork including the mailing of
information to customers in a timely manner.
· Monitor appropriate records such as stock transfers, sales reports, production records
and special orders.
·  Follow proper procedures when faced with security threats, loss prevention issues or
customer/employee safety.
· Help multiple customers simultaneously and be able to transition from one task to another with ease and efficiency.
· Complete other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Horticulture knowledge preferred
· Strong customer service skills in a fast paced wholesale and production environment.
· Ability to accurately operate a POS system (electronic cash register), convey prices, calculate discounts and process all register transactions.
