T&L Nursery, Inc. a fast paced wholesale nursery specializing in high
quality container plants is looking for an inventory control assistant. This
position consists mainly of time spent outdoors in the field verifying quantity
and quality of plants and in the office doing data entry. Accuracy and attention
to detail are a must.

Major Areas of Accountability:
Verify quality of incoming shipments for quality and diseases, report any
issues
Responsible for maintaining and updating the inventory management
system.
Responsible for timely and accurate physical inventory counts. 
Work with purchasing to quickly resolve discrepancy and quality issues. 
Daily analysis of plant availability

Qualifications:
Strong computer skills required for database management in Excel
Strong interest in learning about plants
Previous inventory experience beneficial
Independent worker who can structure their own work schedule
Fast learner, with an attention to detail, and self-motivated
Ability to quickly adjust to new and changing environments
Capacity to delegate
Ability to multitask required
Strong communication skills
Be solution minded when faced with challenges

This position is for full time, year around employment.

Customer service/in house sales

T&L Nursery is a fast paced wholesale nursery specializing in high quality container grown plants and we are looking for a positive, energetic person for our front sales office. General duties include answering phone, assisting walk in customers, in house sales. Successful applicants must have 2 years of industry experience and be computer literate, have good plant identification and organizational skills.
 

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • 2 years horticultural experience required
  • Previous office experience a must
  • Education: College degree recommended
 

Qualifications

  • Ability to work calm under pressure and relate well to the public, in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to Multi task, problem solve and prioritize tasks
  • Dependable, well-organized, friendly and professional.
  • Effective office (clerical / secretarial), time management, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate. Well-versed with Windows, word processing (preferably MS Word) and spreadsheets (pref. Excel).
  • General plant knowledge and identification is a must.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk in customers

Job Summary: 
Provide excellent Customer Service in a Team Environment in order to drive sales and
encourage Customer Loyalty. Process transactions on the cash register to include opening and closing (balancing) of registers and processing various payment tenders. Maintain a strong sales presence, engage customers and offer multiple purchase suggestions. Restock and maintain merchandise displays as needed, all while keeping the wholesale sales area safe and neat for the optimal customer experience.  

Job Schedule:  Monday – Saturday 7 AM – 4 PM 

Reports to: Molbak’s Plant Farm General Manager

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
·  Assist customers with their purchases while providing Outstanding Customer Service   
  in a friendly, proactive manner.
·  Suggest whole solutions, inform, educate and inspire, practice cross-selling and add-on selling. 
· Always practice open, honest, and direct communication and build positive team
relationships. Demonstrate integrity, ownership, accountability, and initiative.
· Correctly and efficiently use and practice proper protocol with all communication systems. (Registers, radios, telephones)
· Develop close customer relationships by thoroughly understanding customer needs and providing prompt resolution of customer service issues.
· Follow through and troubleshoot customer concerns and complaints accurately. Complete all required records and other related paperwork including the mailing of
information to customers in a timely manner.
· Monitor appropriate records such as stock transfers, sales reports, production records
and special orders.
·  Follow proper procedures when faced with security threats, loss prevention issues or
customer/employee safety.
· Help multiple customers simultaneously and be able to transition from one task to another with ease and efficiency.
· Complete other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Horticulture knowledge preferred
· Strong customer service skills in a fast paced wholesale and production environment.
· Ability to accurately operate a POS system (electronic cash register), convey prices, calculate discounts and process all register transactions.
· Ability to assist many customers each day, and quickly and creatively problem-solve, while maintaining a calm and friendly disposition toward customers and team members.
 
Working Environment:  
· Molbak's Plant Farm Sales offices are located at our Redmond, WA production facility which includes our wholesale sales yard.
· Ability to work inside or outside with exposure to extremes of weather & temperature.
· Ability to work standing, walking, bending, moving or lifting up to 100% of the day.

Wholesale nursery with two locations seeks a nursery sales  person.  Candidate must have bachelor degree in horticulture or five years  experience in industry sales.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, have knowledge of NW native plants and ornamental nursery stock, and have proven sales experience. Sales and marketing duties will include transmitting weekly availability updates, updating online availability, sales from both the large tree and container nursery stock yards, and providing  material proposals for public works jobs. Other duties include inventory, purchasing plant material, purchasing hard goods, and maintaining contacts database. 

Base salary + commission.
